Lebanon Wastewater Facilities is planning for the future
Lebanon Utilities has taken the initiative in developing a Master Plan for our city’s Sanitary Sewer system. The plan creates the guidelines for the installation of our Wastewater infrastructure in hope of directing and controlling growth rather than just reacting to it and piecing it together. The plan has allowed the City to develop cost estimates for the installation of lines and structures throughout the surrounding areas bordering our City. With this information we can provide budgetary cost for providing service to proposed areas of annexation. This information is crucial in developing a fee structure (availability fees) for new development. This will allow our City to grow with purpose in design. It is expensive to set up but once it is in place it will begin to pay for itself. The Wastewater Treatment Facilities master plan has allowed us to determine that we can build at our existing site from the present daily capacity of 3.4 million gallons per day (MGD) to more than 55 MGD.
