Lebanon WWTP Expansion & Clean Water Improvements

Lebanon WWTP Expansion & Clean Water Improvements

The City of Lebanon and the Lebanon Utilities are upgrading the Lebanon Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and collection and conveyance infrastructure. These improvements support both current community needs and substantial projected growth, including demands from the rapidly developing LEAP Innovation District.

🎯 Project Purpose & Key Drivers

  • Existing WWTP Capacity: 5 MGD average / 15 MGD peak
  • Projected Required Capacity: 20 MGD average / 48.3 MGD peak
  • Water-Supply Agreement: Up to 25 MGD imported—requires wastewater return for watershed balance
  • Clean Water Improvements: Construction of a new pump station and force main to Eagle Creek

🔧 Existing System Conditions

  • Treatment Process: Extended‑aeration activated sludge system, UV disinfection, aerobic digestion
  • Operational Loading: ~54% of rated capacity
  • Current Discharge Location: Prairie Creek
  • Collection System: 502,000 ft of sewer and 19 lift stations
